What is Sensor

A sensor is a device that detects and converts physical quantities, such as light, temperature, motion, or sound, into an electrical signal.

Sensors play a crucial role in modern electronics, providing the means for devices to interact with and respond to the physical world. There are many different types of sensors, including:

Light sensors - used to detect light and measure brightness, color, and intensity.

Temperature sensors - used to measure temperature and detect changes in temperature.

Motion sensors - used to detect motion, such as in burglar alarms or video game controllers.

Sound sensors - used to detect and measure sound, such as in microphones and audio sensors.

Pressure sensors - used to measure pressure, such as in tire pressure monitoring systems.

Sensors are widely used in a variety of applications, including consumer electronics, automotive systems, industrial automation, and scientific research.

They help to make devices smarter, more responsive, and more efficient by allowing them to gather information from the physical world.
