What is BACKLIGHT

In electronic components, backlight refers to the lighting system used in electronic devices such as displays and keypads.

The backlight improves visibility by providing uniform illumination placed on the back of the screen or keypad.

Backlights are mainly used in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) displays and allow the screen to be clearly seen even in dark environments.

They typically consist of light-emitting diode (LED) or cold-controlled light tube (CCFL) lights placed on the back of the display.
