What is BACKLIGHT

In electronic components, backlight refers to the lighting system used in electronic devices such as displays and keypads.

The backlight improves visibility by providing uniform illumination placed on the back of the screen or keypad.

Backlights are mainly used in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) displays and allow the screen to be clearly seen even in dark environments.

They typically consist of light-emitting diode (LED) or cold-controlled light tube (CCFL) lights placed on the back of the display.

Backlights are used in a variety of electronic devices, including portable electronic devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.), notebook computers, televisions, watches, and automobile dashboards.

The backlight enhances the user experience and provides a clear view of the screen even in low light conditions.

Backlights are usually controllable to adjust the brightness of the light, and advances in low-power LED technology have resulted in backlight systems that are more efficient and have lower power consumption.

This can extend the battery life of electronic devices and improve energy efficiency.
