What is Converter


A converter is an electronic device that changes an input signal from one form to another.

In electronics, converters are used to change the voltage, current, frequency, or digital format of a signal.

There are several types of converters, including:

Voltage converter - changes the voltage level of an input signal, either by increasing or decreasing it.

Current converter - changes the current level of an input signal, either by increasing or decreasing it.

Frequency converter - changes the frequency of an input signal, either by increasing or decreasing it.

Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) - converts digital signals into analog signals.

Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) - converts analog signals into digital signals.

Data converter - changes the data format of an input signal, such as converting between serial and parallel data formats.

Converters play a critical role in modern electronics by enabling signals to be transmitted and processed efficiently, and by making it possible to interface between different types of devices and systems. They help to ensure that signals are compatible with the requirements of the system, and that they can be processed accurately and effectively.
