What is D-TYPE


In electronic parts, 'D-Type' is a term that has a different meaning from D-Sub. D-Type is a term referring to digital logic devices such as flip-flops or registers, which are mainly used in digital logic circuits.

D-Type digital logic devices are used to store or process data based on a series of digital input signals. D-type flip-flops maintain or change data according to the state of the input signal, and registers are used to store or move multiple bits of data.

The D-type flip-flop is the most basic flip-flop and changes its state according to data input (D) and clock input. It mainly performs an operation in which data is changed according to the rising edge (or falling edge) of the clock signal. D-type flip-flops are used to detect signal changes and memorize states, and play an important role in implementing various functions such as registers, counters, and memories in digital circuits.

D-Type registers are used to store or transfer multiple bits of data. These registers have parallel data input and data output, and are internally composed of a combination of several D-type flip-flops. It is used to hold or process data in digital circuits, and is mainly used in CPUs, memories, input/output devices, etc.
