What is DROPOUT


In electronic components, a dropout is a component used as a circuit for voltage stabilization.

It is mainly used for voltage stabilization in environments with high voltage fluctuations.

The dropout circuit uses the difference between the input voltage and the output voltage to achieve voltage stabilization.

This circuit must maintain proper load conditions for accurate voltage settling.

Specifically, when the applied input voltage is lower than the output voltage, the dropout circuit cuts the input voltage to keep the output voltage stable.

This is an important feature for voltage stabilization.

Dropout circuits are used in a variety of applications including power supply circuits, battery chargers, and power supplies.
