What is EMITTER

In electronic components, 'Emitter' is a term that refers to a function or device that emits electrons or electromagnetic waves. 'Emitter' is mainly used in semiconductor devices, especially in various electromagnetic wave transmission and reception technologies and laser diodes.

Emitter in Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT): BJT is a semiconductor device with three terminals and consists of a Base, Collector and Emitter. By injecting current between the base and the emitter, the current between the collector and the emitter is controlled to achieve transistor operation. Emitter plays a role of shedding based on electrons.

Emitter in Field-Effect Transistor (FET): The FET consists of a plate and a gate, and a voltage is applied to the gate to control the current between the plates. In FET, the emitter functions as a plate through which electrons flow.

Emitter in Laser Diode: A laser diode is used to emit a laser made of a specific type of semiconductor device to create an intense light source. The active area of the laser diode emits energy and produces light, which is called the 'Emitter'.

Emitter in wireless communication: A device that generates signals and emits radio waves in a wireless communication system can be referred to as an 'emitter'. In wireless communication, a device that emits radio frequency waves or infrared rays acts as an 'emitter'.

'Emitter' is used as an important concept in electronic component design and wireless communication technology, and helps to understand the operation and function of electronic components.
