What is Filter


Filter is a device that passes only desired signals by adjusting frequency characteristics in electronic components.

Filters are generally used in circuits related to signal processing, and are used to control and block signals in a specific frequency range.

Filters are usually composed of resistors, capacitors, inductors, and active elements (such as amplifiers).

Combined, these elements form a filter circuit that blocks or passes signals in a desired frequency range.

There are many types of filters, each of which performs effective filtering over a specific range of frequencies.

Typical filter types include low-pass filters, high-pass filters, band-pass filters, and bandstop filters.

Filters are used in various applications such as audio, video, wireless communication, and power supply.

For example, an audio filter can be used to remove high-frequency noise from a speaker, and a bandpass filter can be used to select a desired range of radio frequencies in a radio receiver.
