What is PITCH

In electronic components, pitch is a term that represents pin spacing.

The pin refers to the part where the electronic components are connected to the circuit, and the pitch means the interval between these pins.

Normally, pin spacing is displayed in millimeters (MM), and small pin spacing allows electronic components to be smaller in size, so recently, many parts with smaller pitches are being developed.

For example, the pin spacing of DIP (Dual In-Line Package) IC parts is 2.54mm (0.1 inches), but recently, BGA (Ball Grid Array) or QFN (Quad Flat No-Leads) In the parts, the pin spacing may be extremely smaller with 0.4mm, 0.3mm, 0.2mm, and 0.15mm.

If the pin spacing becomes smaller, the circuit will be more dense, allowing you to create a smaller electronic product.

However, the smaller the pin spacing, the harder it can make production and wiring, and the heat dispersion may be imbalanced, which may cause heat problems.
