What is RADIAL


Radial is one of the terms used to indicate the shape or direction of a component in the field of electronic components.

In electronic components, radial refers to a shape in which the pins or leads of a component are positioned perpendicular to the central axis of the component.

In other words, the pin or lead of a part starts from the center of the part and extends outwards.

Radial type is mainly used in components such as capacitors that amplify the amount of current being delivered or diodes that protect circuits.

For example, radial-type capacitors have a spherical or cylindrical shape with pins positioned perpendicular to the central axis of the component, and can provide high capacitance in a small space.

Radial diodes have a cylindrical or block shape with pins positioned perpendicular to the central axis of the component, and serve as circuit protection.

Thus, the term electronics radial refers to a configuration in which the pins or leads of a component are positioned perpendicular to the central axis of the component.

The radial shape is mainly used in components such as capacitors and diodes, and can provide high capacitance or circuit protection in a small space.
