What is RAM


RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is the main memory used in computers and electronic devices.

RAM temporarily stores data and can be accessed at high speed. Programs, tasks and data running on your computer are stored in RAM.

RAM has a huge impact on your computer's performance, and the larger the amount of RAM, the more programs and data it can handle. RAM consists of Dynamic RAM (DRAM) and Static RAM (SRAM).

DRAM has a large capacity and is relatively inexpensive, but is slow and requires periodic refresh.

SRAM is fast and does not require refreshing, but is small in capacity and expensive, so it is used for certain purposes such as cache memory.
