What is SCHOTTKY

Schottky is one of the terms used in semiconductor electronic components.

Schottky means Schottky Barrier, which is formed at the junction between a P-type semiconductor and a metal. The characteristics of such a junction are high conductivity, low saturation voltage, fast switching speed and low noise level.

These properties are very useful in electronic component design.

Therefore, Schottky diode is a type of semiconductor device and is constructed using a Schottky Barrier.

Compared to other diodes, Schottky diodes have higher speed and efficiency, low voltage loss and fast response.

Schottky diodes are mostly used in power converters, RF receivers, and high-speed switching circuits.

Also, Schottky transistor is a semiconductor device that provides high current at low voltage, and uses a Schottky barrier to form the junction between the gate and the channel.

These devices are used in power converters, high-speed switching circuits, and RF amplifiers.
