What is TRANSIENT


Transient in electronic components means a temporary electrical signal or voltage/current change.

These transients can cause noise, errors, breakdowns, and damages in electronic devices or circuits.

Transient is one of the elements that must be considered when designing and analyzing circuits.

In particular, countermeasures against transients are required when high voltage or current changes occur in electronic devices or circuits.

Components necessary for circuit design to control transients include TVS diodes, MOVs, and supercapacitors.

These parts protect the circuit by stabilizing the voltage or current when a transient occurs.

In addition, a technology called transient simulation is used to prevent circuit damage.

This is a technology that predicts transients and takes countermeasures during the circuit design process, and plays a major role in improving the stability and reliability of circuits.

Therefore, in electronic parts, transient is one of the important factors that must be considered when designing and analyzing circuits, and preparing countermeasures for it is very important to secure the stability and reliability of electronic devices and circuits.
