The PI74ST1G08 is a 2-Input AND Gate that operates over the 1.8V to 3.6V VCC operating range.

What is gate


A gate is a component or circuit that receives an input signal from an electronic circuit and processes it to generate an output signal.

Representative gates include AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, and XOR gates, and various logic circuits can be configured by combining these gates.

Gates are commonly used in digital logic circuits, where inputs and outputs are represented by digital values (0 or 1).

A gate calculates an output value based on its input, and its output changes depending on the input signal.

For example, an AND gate takes two or more inputs, and the output is 1 when all inputs are 1, and the output is 0 otherwise.

An OR gate has an output of 1 when at least one of its inputs is 1, and an output of 0 when all inputs are 0.

A NOT gate outputs the opposite of the input signal.

Gates play an important role in digital logic circuits.

When constructing a logic circuit, select the appropriate gates and combine them to form the desired logic circuit.

Gates are also used in digital devices such as processors and memories.
